Bishkek City Police Department: Foreign citizens are required to carry original documents proving their identity

As part of the operation "Illegal," the Bishkek City Police Department is conducting checks and providing clarifications regarding compliance with migration regulations by foreign citizens.
The Bishkek City Police Department emphasizes that the absence of the specified documents may lead to detention by law enforcement agencies for the purpose of establishing identity and verifying the legality of their stay. During the raids, over 35 foreign citizens were taken to the Police Department for document verification and decision-making in accordance with the law.
The Police Department also draws attention to the fact that employers, educational institutions, and inviting parties do not have the right to confiscate passports or other personal documents from foreign citizens.
The Police Department urges foreign citizens and their hosts to strictly adhere to the requirements of the migration legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
