— From July 15 to 18, an auction was held for the construction of the 'Zhyrgalan' town as part of the 'Ala-Tuu Resort' project. Out of 49 proposed plots, 14 were sold, with a total area of 21,537 square meters, amounting to 472,589,298 soms. All lots were purchased by local entrepreneurs.
— Have construction works begun on these plots?
— Currently, excavation work has started on the plots. Considering that winter in this region lasts for seven months, construction work has been temporarily suspended. I spoke with the entrepreneurs, and they plan to resume work in April.
— How is the construction of the cable cars progressing? What stage are the works at now?
— The construction is being carried out by the Austrian company Doppelmayr, a recognized leader in the cable car industry. According to the contract, they are to complete the first line, which is 4 km long, by May this year. In February, we signed an additional agreement that the second line of the same length will be completed by December. Thus, the first stage of the Zhyrgalan town is planned to be completed by December. The first line is almost ready, and we have already conducted its technical tests. The system will be tested for a month, and we will receive it in full by May.
— How many lots will be offered at the next auction?
— JSC 'Ala-Tuu Resort' has announced the second stage of the auction, which will take place from April 8 to 10. The remaining 36 lots will be on sale, with areas ranging from 400 to 6000 square meters. The plots will be transferred to the citizens of Kyrgyzstan as private property with the issuance of a 'red book,' while foreign investors will be able to lease the land for 49 years.
— Each station is equipped with special parking lots where the cabins will park at the end of the working day, during strong winds, or while cleaning. Currently, two parking lots are almost completed, and the construction of four more is ahead.
— What is the state of the infrastructure of the Zhyrgalan town by December?
— According to the master plan, one-story wooden houses and yurts will be built. A total of 105 one-story houses and 7 two-story wooden buildings will appear in the ethnovillage. Additionally, the construction of parking lots, ski rental points, and other facilities is nearing completion. Major constructions are to be finished within three years as per the contract.
— Is the road to the Zhyrgalan town already constructed?
— The distance from Karakol to Zhyrgalan is 65 km, of which 14 km is a gravel road, and the rest has old asphalt. By the order of President Sadyr Japarov, work has begun to expand the road to four lanes.
— The Zhyrgalan town will create 4,200 jobs. The hiring process is taking place in stages. Earlier, 20 snowcat drivers were trained in Altai. In the coming days, a special commission in Karakol will select another 20 specialists for servicing the cable cars.
— When will the construction of the 'Ak-Bulak' and 'Boz-Uchuk' resorts begin?
— After the completion of work in Zhyrgalan, the construction of the 'Ak-Bulak' and 'Boz-Uchuk' resorts will begin. This year we will start designing 'Ak-Bulak,' determine the plots, and next year we will hold auctions.
