According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, during the analysis of social networks, it was established that under the account "Daniil Zhooshbaev," publications were posted aimed at criticizing government agencies. In the comments to some of these materials, there were also messages potentially capable of inciting mass riots.
In this regard, a criminal case was initiated by the Investigation Service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek city under Article 278 (Calls for Mass Riots) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational-search activities, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic were able to identify and detain the owner of the suspicious account — journalist A.A., born in 1976.
The publications and messages posted by A.A. on the specified account on "Facebook" were subjected to verification in accordance with the legislation, and relevant examinations were appointed.
On March 10, 2026, during a search at A.A.'s residence, various technical devices and items of interest to the criminal case were discovered and seized, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and a video camera.
The next day, on March 11, 2026, A.A. was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek city.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
