A working meeting dedicated to the current inflation situation in Kyrgyzstan was held by the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Daniyar Amangeldiev. Representatives of relevant ministries and the National Bank participated in the discussion.
The Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Azat Kozubekov, presented a detailed analysis of monetary policy, which examined both external and internal factors affecting the level of consumer prices, as well as forecasts for inflation expectations in the coming months. It is important that close cooperation between fiscal and monetary authorities is necessary to maintain price stability.
After listening to the report and the opinions of the meeting participants, Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that in the context of rapid economic growth, special attention must be paid to the purchasing power of citizens.
"Economic development must be accompanied by strict control over inflationary processes. We need to minimize the impact of external factors on the domestic market, especially concerning socially significant goods," he added.
As a result of the discussion, Amangeldiev instructed the relevant state agencies to urgently develop measures to ensure price stability, with particular attention to food security and saturating the domestic market with local products.
In conclusion, he emphasized the importance of personal responsibility of the heads of departments for the timely implementation of measures aimed at maintaining macroeconomic stability.
