The project is being implemented with the support of the World Bank and aims to modernize the country's energy system.
The installation of 390,000 meters will be carried out in the following regions:
- Bishkek – 91,210 units;
- Chui Region – 89,129 units;
- Osh Region – 68,242 units;
- Batken Region – 54,997 units;
- Jalal-Abad Region – 71,546 units.
The main objective of digitalization is to increase the transparency of electricity accounting, reduce technical and commercial losses, improve the quality of electricity supply, and develop digital infrastructure in this area.
Smart meters provide the ability to accurately calculate electricity consumption in real-time, allow for quick identification of technical malfunctions, prevent unauthorized connections, and create accurate data for calculations.
