According to the press service of OJSC "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan", 390,000 smart meters will be installed in the republic in 2026. The project is being implemented with the assistance of the World Bank.
The distribution of meters by regions and Bishkek will be as follows:
- Bishkek – 91,210;
- Chui Region – 89,129;
- Osh Region – 68,242;
- Batken Region – 54,997;
- Jalal-Abad Region – 71,546.
This system also contributes to efficient consumption management, allowing users to utilize energy resources more rationally.
