This project, implemented with the support of the World Bank, aims to modernize the country's energy sector.
The distribution of "smart" meters by regions will be as follows:
- Bishkek — 91,210;
- Chui Region — 89,129;
- Osh Region — 68,242;
- Batken Region — 54,997;
- Jalal-Abad Region — 71,546.
The goal of implementing digital technologies is to enhance the transparency of electricity accounting, reduce losses, both technical and commercial, as well as improve the quality of electricity supply and develop digital infrastructure in this area.
With the help of "smart" meters, it will be possible to accurately monitor electricity consumption in real-time, quickly identify technical malfunctions, prevent unauthorized connections, and obtain accurate data for calculations.
Moreover, the new system will create opportunities for effective consumption management, helping citizens use electricity more rationally.
