On the eve of Tashiev's dismissal, mass arrests occurred. Five of his supporters who signed the "Appeal 75" ended up in detention on suspicion of organizing mass riots. These actions were a response to the call for early presidential elections.
Additionally, all of Tashiev's deputies in the position of head of the GKNB were replaced. The former head of the Bishkek GKNB department, suspected of corruption, was also arrested and placed in a pre-trial detention center.
President Sadyr Japarov clarified the reasons for Tashiev's dismissal, emphasizing that he will not hold positions in government bodies.
