Minister of Transport Syrgabaev participated in the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul
During the meeting, key issues were discussed, such as the development of transport links, improvement of logistics corridors, minimization of transport barriers, and the application of digital technologies in this field.
In his speech, the minister emphasized the importance of a key project for the country — the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, highlighting several of its aspects.
“Kyrgyzstan is actively implementing infrastructure projects aimed at modernizing both the road and railway sectors, developing logistics centers, and increasing transit potential. The construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is one of these key projects,” he noted.
Syrgabaev also stressed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to participate in joint initiatives for the development of the transport sector.
“Today, issues of sustainable and 'green' transport are becoming particularly important. Kyrgyzstan supports initiatives aimed at developing environmentally friendly modes of transport and reducing the negative impact of transport infrastructure on the environment,” the minister added.
