

As of today, the 2nd meeting of the transport ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is taking place in Istanbul, where the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, Abstat Syrybaev, is participating.
During the meeting, key issues related to the expansion of transport links, development of logistics corridors, reduction of transport barriers, and implementation of modern digital technologies are being discussed.
In his speech, Syrybaev emphasized the importance of the "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway project, which is a priority for the country.
“We are actively developing infrastructure by modernizing road and railway routes, creating logistics centers, and increasing the transit capabilities of the Kyrgyz Republic. The construction of the 'China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan' railway is one of the main projects,” he noted.
The minister also highlighted the country's readiness for cooperation within the framework of joint initiatives aimed at developing the transport sector.
“Issues of sustainable and environmentally friendly transport are becoming particularly important. Kyrgyzstan supports initiatives aimed at developing environmentally safe modes of transport and minimizing the impact of transport infrastructure on nature,” added Abstat Syrybaev.
