According to the decree of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, Orozbekov Adilet Orozbekovich now holds the position of Secretary of the Security Council.
Some information about the new secretary:
Adilet Orozbekov, born in 1978, received his education at the International University of Kyrgyzstan in the specialty of "Diplomacy and International Law" and continued his studies at the FSB Academy of the Russian Federation.
He is fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English.
Currently, Orozbekov holds the rank of 1st class advisor of the state civil service and has the military rank of colonel. His career in national security began in 2001 when he worked as an operational officer, after which he held various positions, including leadership roles, until 2017.
In his professional biography: from 2007 to 2009, he served as the deputy head of the department of the National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic responsible for constitutional order protection; from 2009 to 2010, he was the head of the international cooperation department and then the deputy head of the management; from 2012 to 2017, he worked as a chief expert at the Anti-Terrorism Center of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic; after that, starting in 2017, he continued his work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as in the office of the national coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization; from 2017 to 2019, he was a referent at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing; in 2023-2024, he worked as an expert at the Situational Center of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic; and, starting from December 2025, he is a state inspector in the department of defense, law enforcement, and security of the office for monitoring the implementation of decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
