
Adilet Orozbekov has been appointed Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, according to information published by the president's press service. The decree on the appointment was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.
Previously, this position was held by Rustam Mamasadykov.
Before his appointment, Orozbekov worked as a state inspector in the Department of Defense, Law and Order, and Security of the Office for Monitoring the Implementation of Presidential and Cabinet Decisions in the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Biography:
Adilet Orozbekov was born in 1978. He graduated from the International University of Kyrgyzstan with a degree in "Diplomacy and International Law," and later underwent training at the FSB Academy of the Russian Federation.
Orozbekov is fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English.
He holds the rank of 1st class advisor of the state civil service, as well as the title of colonel.
He began his career in 2001, working in the national security agencies as an operational officer. Throughout his career, he has held various positions, including leadership roles, until 2017.
From 2007 to 2009, he was the Deputy Head of the Department for the Protection of the Constitutional Order in the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic;
from 2009 to 2010, he served as the Head of the International Cooperation Department and Deputy Head of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic;
from 2012 to 2017, he worked as a chief expert at the Anti-Terrorism Center of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic;
in 2017, he moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he held a position in the office of the National Coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization;
from 2017 to 2019, he was a referent at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing;
in 2023-2024, he served as an expert at the Situational Center of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
