The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a decree relieving Rustam Mamasadykov of his duties as Secretary of the Security Council.
According to a statement from the press service of the president's administration, this decision was made based on paragraph 8 of part 1 of article 70 and article 71 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Following this, by another decree, Mamasadykov was appointed as the First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, which also corresponds to article 71 of the KR Constitution.
It is worth noting that on the same day, the president signed a decree relieving Kamchybek Tashiev of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security. He also relieved three of his deputies from their duties.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been appointed as the acting head of the committee. His candidacy has already been submitted to the Jogorku Kenesh for approval as the chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
Sadyr Japarov commented on the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev.
