Rustam Mamasadykov appointed as First Deputy Head of the State Committee for National Security

Rustam Mamasadykov has been appointed as the First Deputy Head of the State Committee for National Security. The president's press service officially announced this.

The statement also mentioned that the president signed a decree under which Mamasadykov was removed from the position of Secretary of the Security Council.

This position had been held by him since December 1, 2025.

Mamasadykov first took the position of Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security in 2008. After the committee was renamed the State Service for National Security, he remained in his role. However, following the April Revolution of 2010, he was removed from office.

In 2011, he returned to the security service and headed the Anti-Terrorist Center of the State Committee for National Security.

In April 2018, Mamasadykov again left the position of Deputy Head of the State Committee for National Security. After Asylbek Kozhobekov resigned voluntarily, he was offered to return to a similar position.

The rank of Major General was conferred upon him by a decree of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
