The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of Kyrgyzstan reports the detention of police officers suspected of involving a minor in sexual activities.
During the investigation, facts were uncovered indicating unlawful actions by some representatives of law enforcement agencies in the Uzgen district, located in the Osh region.
According to the collected data, the senior police officer, Captain of Police "Z.u.A.", along with juvenile inspectors "N.A.N." and "A.u.A.", developed a criminal plan aimed at extorting money from girls, including the minor "T.A.U.", born in 2008. The police officers would introduce her to wealthy men, after which they staged an arrest and, using blackmail and psychological pressure, demanded money from them.
In connection with this case, the investigative department of the GKNB in the Osh region initiated a criminal proceeding. On February 4 of this year, in conjunction with the Internal Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the mentioned officers of the Uzgen Department of Internal Affairs were detained, after which they were placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB in accordance with the procedure provided for by Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigative activities, confessions were obtained, and additional cases of unlawful actions involving these officers and civilians were identified. It is particularly concerning that among those detained were juvenile inspectors, whose duties include protecting children's rights and preventing offenses.
Currently, necessary investigative actions are being conducted to document all criminal acts committed by the mentioned law enforcement officers.
