
In 2026, the Talas electric grid enterprise has planned a series of activities aimed at improving the reliability of electricity supply and preparing for the cold season. In particular, the plans include increasing the capacity of 32 transformers and installing 10 new devices, according to information from the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan.
Regarding the installation of new transformers, they will be distributed across the Talas region as follows:
- Talas district — 1 transformer;
- Bakay-Ata district — 2 transformers;
- Manas district — 5 transformers;
- Aitmatov district — 2 transformers.
It is worth noting that in 2025, 9 transformers were already added in the region.
Considering the growing demand for electricity, in 2026, the capacity of 32 transformers will also be increased, distributed as follows:
- Bakay-Ata district — 9 transformers;
- Manas district — 4 transformers;
- city of Talas — 7 transformers;
- Talas district — 5 transformers;
- Aitmatov district — 7 transformers.
In 2025, the capacity of 13 transformers in the district was already increased.
Additionally, as part of the standard annual maintenance and major repair work on transformers, the following is planned for 2026:
- major repairs of 197 transformers;
- maintenance of 1266 transformers.
The implementation of these activities should lead to increased reliability of electrical networks, a reduction in the number of emergency outages, and provide the population with stable and quality electricity supply.
