A new 110/35/10 kV substation "Suu-Bashy" has been put into operation in Batken.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, the area served by the "Suu-Bashy" substation is 500 square meters.
The implementation of the project became possible thanks to the joint efforts of JSC "NESC" and the Batken city administration.
The total project costs amounted to 55 million 758 thousand soms, of which:
• The Batken Electric Networks Enterprise allocated 19 million 958 thousand soms for the purchase of additional materials;
• The Batken city administration invested 35 million 800 thousand soms in the procurement of equipment.
All construction works were carried out independently by the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise.
The opening of the new substation will improve electricity supply for the following facilities: the village of Jangy-Dostuk, the industrial zone, the residential area "Batken City," a new stadium for 10,000 seats, residential houses in the Chet-Bulak quarter, the village of Buzhum, a new Russian school being built with the support of the Russian Federation, as well as 2,224 residential houses.
Additionally, this energy facility will supply electricity to the following substations:
• Kara-Bulak 35/10 kV;
• Kara-Tokoy-1 35/10 kV;
• Kara-Tokoy-2 35/10 kV;
• Shirech 35/10 kV.
The substation is connected to a new 110 kV overhead power line "Aigul-Tash – Central," located just 150 meters away from it.
