The grand opening of the new high-voltage substation 110/35/10 kV "Suu-Bashy" took place during the visit of the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Talaybek Ibraev, to the Batken region.

During the opening, Minister T. Ibraev noted that the growing number of electricity consumers requires an update of capacities and generation. "Dear participants of today's event! In 2025, many substations were built, reconstruction work was carried out on hydro units at major hydropower plants, and small hydropower plants and solar power stations were commissioned. Every year, the number of electricity consumers is increasing, new residential complexes and factories are emerging. This makes the increase in generation relevant. Each new substation plays a key role in providing energy to the population. This substation will also serve the people. We must not stop at what has been achieved. Our goal is to provide the population with light and heat," said the minister.

The area that will be served by the "Suu-Bashy" substation is 500 square meters. The project was implemented thanks to the joint efforts of the OJSC "NESC" and the Batken city administration, with a total cost of 55 million 758 thousand soms, including:

• 19 million 958 thousand soms for additional materials purchased by the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise;

• 35 million 800 thousand soms for equipment purchased by the Batken city administration;

• construction work was carried out by the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise.

According to the Ministry of Energy, with the commissioning of the substation, stable and quality electricity supply will be provided to: the village of Jangy-Dostuk, the industrial zone, the residential area "Batken City," the new stadium for 10,000 seats, residential houses in the Chet-Bulak quarter, the village of Buzhum, the under-construction Russian school funded by the Russian Federation, as well as 2,224 residential houses.

In addition, this significant energy facility will supply electricity to the following substations:
• Kara-Bulak 35/10 kV;
• Kara-Tokoy-1 35/10 kV;
• Kara-Tokoy-2 35/10 kV;
• Shirech 35/10 kV.

The substation is connected to a new 110 kV overhead power line "Aigul-Tash – Central," which is located 150 meters from it.

During the event, automotive and special equipment were also transferred to the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise to enhance production capabilities and operational response to emergency situations:
• 3 vehicles of the brand JAC N 8;
• 1 vehicle of the brand JAC N56;
• 1 excavator of the brand SHANMON.

The transferred equipment will significantly simplify the work of energy workers, improve the quality of service for electrical networks, and ensure uninterrupted power supply for the residents of the region.

Additionally, T. Ibraev met with the employees of the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise, where proposals and issues raised by the staff were discussed, as well as the current state of the energy sector, improving working conditions, and its development. The minister answered questions and provided instructions on addressing the raised issues.
