A new high-voltage substation 'Suu-Bashi' has recently been put into operation in Batken, operating at voltages of 110/35/10 kilovolts. The press service of the Ministry of Energy reported this event.
The launch of the new energy facility was marked by the words of Minister Talaybek Ibraev, who emphasized the need for rapid capacity increases due to the growing number of consumers.

"In 2025, we completed the construction of several substations, reconstructed the hydro units of major hydropower plants, and also put into operation small hydropower plants and solar stations. Considering the construction of residential complexes and factories, increasing energy generation is an important task. Each new substation ensures reliable electricity supply for the population," he added.
The 'Suu-Bashi' substation occupies an area of 500 square meters, and its implementation was carried out in cooperation with JSC 'NESC' and the Batken city administration. The total cost of the project amounted to 55 million 758 thousand soms:
- The municipality invested 35 million 800 thousand in the purchase of equipment;
- The Batken Electric Networks enterprise spent 19 million 958 thousand on materials;
- The construction work was performed by the enterprise's specialists using their own resources.
The new substation will provide reliable electricity supply for 2,224 residential houses, the village of Zhany-Dostuk, the industrial zone, the residential complex 'Batken City', the new stadium for 10,000 spectators, the 'Chet-Bulak' quarter, the village of Buzhum, and the under-construction Russian school.

Additionally, the 'Suu-Bashi' substation will provide power for four other substations: 'Kara-Bulak', 'Kara-Tokoy-1', 'Kara-Tokoy-2', and 'Shirech'.
The facility was connected to a new 110-kilovolt power transmission line 'Aigul-Tash — Central'.

As part of the event, the Batken Electric Networks enterprise received new equipment for rapid response to emergency situations: three JAC N 8 vehicles, one JAC N56, and a SHANMON excavator.
This week, the 35/10 kilovolt substation 'T.Kulatov' and the power transmission line in the Nookat district were put into operation, while in the Uzgen district, three energy facilities were launched simultaneously.
