Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan: No cases of Nipah virus infection registered in the country

According to the latest report from the Ministry of Health, there are no cases of Nipah virus infection in the country. Continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation is being conducted by sanitary and epidemiological authorities.

To protect against the possible emergence of the infection at the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic, additional sanitary control measures have been introduced. Doctors at sanitary quarantine points monitor the health status of arrivals, conduct sanitary checks of transport, and organize preventive actions in accordance with current regulations.

Medical institutions in the country have received instructions for the early detection, isolation of suspicious patients, and organization of anti-epidemic measures.

According to the department, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic is actively cooperating with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international partners to exchange relevant epidemiological information and coordinate preventive measures.
