Deputy Prime Minister Torobaev met with the IMF Resident Representative in Kyrgyzstan Farid Talyshly

- The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting with the Permanent Representative of the IMF in the country, Farid Talyshly. This information was announced by the press service of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, key aspects of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the IMF were discussed.

“Recent large-scale structural reforms have been highly praised by international rating agencies. These changes are aimed at stabilizing economic activity, supporting strategically important sectors, modernizing infrastructure, and improving conditions for investment,” the press service noted.

For over three decades, the IMF has implemented 12 programs in Kyrgyzstan, which have had a significant impact on the economy, helped reduce poverty levels, and contributed to sustainable and inclusive economic growth,” the press service added.

According to the Cabinet's data, high economic activity is the result of effective government initiatives aimed at modernizing the economy, improving the investment climate and competitive environment, as well as implementing reforms in the public administration system.
