According to the agency, on February 23, 2026, at the phytosanitary control post "Kyzyl-Kiya," which is managed by the Batken division of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine, during an inspection, incomplete mandatory labeling on the product packaging was identified.
According to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated November 30, 2016, No. 157, all packaging of quarantine products must be labeled with information indicating the name of the product, the country of production, the exporting country, and/or the re-exporting country.
The Ministry of Agriculture noted that the import of quarantine cargo without the necessary labeling contradicts the general quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union. In this regard, the batch of seedlings was returned to the sender.
