On February 23, at the phytosanitary control post "Kyzyl-Kiya," which is managed by the Batken Department of the Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine Department of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, the absence of necessary labeling on the packaging of 28,762 seedlings imported from Uzbekistan was recorded.

According to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council, adopted on November 30, 2016, under number 157, each package of quarantine products must contain labeling with information about the name, country of origin, as well as the exporting or re-exporting country.

The absence of labeling on quarantine cargo is a violation of the general phytosanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union. In this regard, the cargo was returned to the importing country.
