According to the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources and Agriculture, 28,762 seedlings that were imported from Uzbekistan were returned. This occurred at the phytosanitary control post "Kyzyl-Kiya" in the Batken region on February 23, when a lack of labeling on the packaging was discovered during the quarantine phytosanitary inspection.

According to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated November 30, 2016, No. 157, each package of quarantine products must contain a label with information about the name of the product, the country of origin, as well as the exporting and/or re-exporting country.

The absence of labeling on the quarantine cargo constitutes a violation of the unified system of quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union, which was the reason for the return of this cargo to the importing country.
