A financial and investment area called "Tamchi" will be created on the shores of Issyk-Kul. This was announced in a statement from the Cabinet of Ministers.
The capsule-laying ceremony, symbolizing the start of the project, was attended by the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
In his speech, he emphasized that the "Tamchi" project will be an important factor for the country's economic growth and will contribute to the formation of a new investment climate. This project will combine international investments, fintech and IT initiatives, as well as modern logistics solutions, relying on the region's potential and the successful experience of global financial centers.
"We are creating a platform with clear, stable, and competitive conditions. The SFIT 'Tamchi' will become an international hub that will attract investments, new technologies, and provide thousands of jobs," noted Adylbek Kasymaliev.
Key aspects of the "Tamchi" project:
• The construction of office complexes, residential and tourist facilities with a total area of over 470 thousand square meters will be completed in stages by 2035.
• The project will include business, logistics, and recreational zones.
• Residents of this area will receive tax incentives for up to 49 years.
• The project provides for the free movement of capital, a flexible currency regime, and the possibility of full foreign participation.
• An independent international dispute resolution center will also be established, operating based on English law.
• It is expected that by 2035, the annual tourist flow to this area, covering more than 100 hectares, will reach up to 90 thousand people.
