On February 20, in Issyk-Kul, Adylbek Kasymaliev, holding the position of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, participated in an important event — the laying of a capsule for the construction of the Special Financial and Investment Territory (SFIT) "Tamchy." According to the press service of the government, in his speech, Kasymaliev noted that the "Tamchy" project represents a strategically important step for the future of the country's economy. This zone is intended to become an international financial center, attracting global capital, fintech, and IT innovations, as well as a modern logistics hub that connects international trade and cargo flows.
The head of the Cabinet emphasized that the project is based on the best global practices of financial centers, adapted to the capabilities of the Issyk-Kul region. One of the main advantages of this zone will be the creation of a clear and competitive environment for investors.
Key aspects of the SFIT "Tamchy" project:
- It is planned to construct modern office centers, residential complexes, and tourist facilities in phases, with a total area of over 470,000 square meters by 2035. The territory will be divided into business, logistics (near the airport), and recreational zones.
- An independent international dispute resolution center will be established to protect business interests, operating under English law.
- Residents of the zone will receive tax benefits for up to 49 years. Free movement of capital, a flexible currency regime, and the ability to conduct business with 100% foreign participation will be ensured.
- A large-scale infrastructure will be developed on an area of over 100 hectares, expecting up to 90,000 tourists annually by 2035.
