- On February 11, 2026, during a plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev urged agrarians to abandon the breeding of non-pedigree livestock.

He noted that farmers can obtain a loan at an annual interest rate of 3% for the purchase of pedigree livestock.

In his opinion, instead of two non-pedigree cows, it is better to buy one pedigree cow, as this will yield significantly more milk and other benefits.

Additionally, Torobaev mentioned that for those who do not wish to take out a loan, there is an opportunity to receive pedigree livestock semen for free for further breeding.

On that day, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic was also reviewed regarding preparations for spring field and agricultural work in 2026 in the country.
