In response to her inquiry, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev reported on the allocation of funds for the installation of drip irrigation systems over an area of 5,200 hectares. He emphasized that farmers need to contact the regional Water Resources Service to enter into the appropriate contracts.
Additionally, the deputy expressed concern about the difficulties faced by farmers in remote areas where there is a shortage of irrigation water. Torobaev agreed with her, noting that drip irrigation would not only simplify the irrigation process but also contribute to obtaining a quality harvest.
This issue was raised in the context of discussing the draft resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh regarding preparations for the spring field and agricultural works in Kyrgyzstan for 2026.
