Bishkek and JICA Confirmed Their Intent to Expand Economic Cooperation
Today, January 30, a meeting took place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, attended by Bakyt Sydykov, the Minister of Economy and Commerce, and Yoshifumi Yoshikawa, Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
During the discussion, representatives from both sides emphasized the long-standing and productive cooperation between the government of Kyrgyzstan and JICA, which encompasses numerous joint projects.
Sydykov shared with his partner the government's goals aimed at sustainable economic growth and comprehensive development of the country, as well as outlined the key priorities within the framework of the mid-term National Development Strategy of Kyrgyzstan until 2030.
Moreover, the participants of the meeting noted the success of the "One Village - One Product" project, which has become a vivid example of effective cooperation, as well as the JDS program aimed at developing human capital.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties expressed their desire to continue joint activities aimed at further improving current projects and exploring new areas of cooperation.
