The Head of the Cabinet discussed ongoing projects in Kyrgyzstan with the Vice President of JICA

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, held a meeting with Yoshifumi Yoshikawa, Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on this event.

During the meeting, projects that have been implemented in the country with the support of JICA were discussed. Participants noted that several long-term initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of the population have been introduced as part of the joint efforts.

Among the examples of successful cooperation, the "One Village - One Product" program and the JDS scholarship program provided by the Government of Japan were highlighted.

In addition, the parties discussed the current progress in the implementation of projects related to the provision of grants and technical assistance in areas such as transportation, healthcare, energy, and human resource development.

According to information from the Cabinet of Ministers, 43 projects have been implemented in Kyrgyzstan with the support of JICA to date. In 2026, the 25th anniversary of the agency's representation in the republic will be celebrated.
