In response to this question, Damirbek Bikulov, Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency under the President, stated that the Italian side is interested in agriculture and the development of green energy in the country.
The deputy also inquired about the mechanisms designed to protect investors' rights.
Bikulov assured that all necessary mechanisms have been developed, including those related to dispute resolution.
These issues were raised in the context of discussing the draft Law "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic on the Promotion and Protection of Investments," which was signed on May 30, 2025, in Astana. The bill was initiated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and is being submitted for the first reading (incoming No. 6-8/26 dated January 12, 2026).
