At the end of last week, a batch of onions weighing 26 tons and 978 kg, arriving from Uzbekistan, was stopped at the "Dostuk" checkpoint. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Management and Agriculture.

The reason the cargo was not allowed through was the absence of the necessary phytosanitary certificate, as well as violations of labeling rules. As a result, the product was not permitted for import into Kyrgyzstan.

Due to the identified non-compliance with phytosanitary standards, the cargo was returned to the carrier.
