Kyrgyzstan's Airlines Will Be Exempted from a Number of Fees
The changes concern domestic flights
The Government of Kyrgyzstan has put forward for public discussion a draft resolution under which the country's air carriers may be exempted from a number of fees.
The main goal of this decision is to reduce ticket prices and support the growth of domestic civil aviation.
The state enterprise "Kyrgyz Air Navigation" will charge 50% of the standard rates for air navigation services from airlines. However, carriers registered in Kyrgyzstan and operating regular flights on eight key routes will be completely exempt from these fees for seven calendar days after the flight is completed.
Similar measures are also planned to be extended to airport fees.
It is recommended that the JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" charge only 50% of the current rates from air carriers, while companies operating on the same eight routes will be able to avoid paying fees completely for seven days.
