At the international airport "Tashkent - Humo," Rahmon was greeted by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The visit will last until March 27 and includes high-level meetings, the first session of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council, the signing of numerous new cooperation agreements, as well as the holding of an interregional business forum and various cultural events, including an Evening of Friendship and Tajikistan's Culture Days in Uzbekistan.
On the same day, in a sign of respect for the culture and history of the Uzbek people, Emomali Rahmon laid a wreath at the monument "Independence and Humanism." The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, accompanied the President of Tajikistan during this ceremony.
