Tashkent is Covered by Thick Fog, Dozens of Flights Redirected

The fog situation was observed throughout Thursday, and visibility at the airport began to rapidly decrease in the afternoon. By 19:30, it fell below 1000 meters, and by 20:30 it was only 450 meters. By 23:30, visibility had decreased to 50 meters.

From 4:30 to 7:30, Tashkent airport managed to accept about 15 flights; however, by 8:00 visibility worsened again to 50 meters, leaving several flights waiting. At the same time, conditions in the city were quite normal. By 8:30, the restrictions on flight arrivals at the airport were lifted.

According to Uzhydromet data, fog was observed not only in Tashkent but also in other regions, including Jizzakh, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya, as well as in the Fergana Valley. In cities such as Bukhara, Karshi, and Termez, visibility was only 50−100 meters.
