Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, addressed the heads of neighboring states.

“Dear presidents of friendly countries, we have done everything possible to avoid war through diplomacy, but the aggression from the USA and Israel has left us no choice but to defend ourselves. In response to the strikes carried out by Israel and the USA on February 28, Iran began its retaliatory attacks on military facilities in Israel and other countries in the Middle East where American bases are located. The strikes were aimed at Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Riyadh.

As a result of the attack from the USA and Israel, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, and his wife, Mansure Khodjaste, later died from her injuries.

Donald Trump stated that military actions in Iran would last about four weeks. Iran declared jihad against the USA and Israel, emphasizing that dialogue is impossible.

The conflict in the Middle East has global consequences, including an impact on Kyrgyzstan. Thousands of Kyrgyz citizens are currently stranded in the UAE due to the conflict. Contact information for embassies and consulates for Kyrgyz citizens abroad can be found here.
