Continuing from previous rounds of negotiations, the parties will focus on nuclear issues and matters related to the lifting of American sanctions against Iran.

“The negotiations will certainly focus on the nuclear issue,” noted Iranian Foreign Ministry representative Esmail Baghaei while speaking to journalists before the session began.

According to him, the format of the current negotiations is similar to that which took place in Muscat on February 6, where delegations exchanged messages through Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi, which allowed for the coordination of the further course of negotiations.

The negotiations are led by: from the American side — U.S. President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and from the Iranian side — Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

On the eve of the meeting, Araghchi had a conversation with the Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, regarding the Iranian nuclear program and discussed upcoming contacts with Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi.
