Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, described the negotiations as a successful start and emphasized the importance of continuing the dialogue in an atmosphere of calm, without threats or pressure.

He added that further work will be determined after consultations in the capitals, noting that there are currently no other discussions with the USA.

The American delegation was led by special envoy of President Donald Trump, Stephen Witkoff, and for the first time, Brad Cooper, the head of the Central Command of the Armed Forces, participated in the negotiations.

According to information from the Tasnim agency, the parties agreed to continue discussions on Iran's nuclear dossier.

Additional negotiations are expected in the coming days, reported Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing a source.

After the negotiations concluded, the US Department of the Treasury added 15 companies and two individuals to the sanctions list related to Iran.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Tehran expressed its unwillingness to cease uranium enrichment, which is one of the main demands of the USA. However, Iranian representatives confirmed their readiness to continue discussions and agreed on new meetings with the participation of Oman. It is also noted that the positions of the parties remain virtually unchanged, and disagreements on key issues are still significant.
