Emomali Rahmon condemned the terrorist attack on a mosque in Pakistan

In response to this tragic incident, on February 7, Rahmon sent letters of condolence to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, as reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.

“I pray to the Almighty for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Tajikistan condemns this brutal terrorist act and any manifestations of terrorism, emphasizing the importance of unwavering struggle against this evil,” the president's telegram states.

The terrorist attack in Islamabad occurred on February 6. According to the latest data, 31 people were killed during the attack, and 169 were injured. The terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for this act of violence.

According to media reports, the suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at the entrance to the mosque immediately after the Friday prayer had concluded.
