Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, sent his deepest condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in connection with the horrific terrorist act that occurred on February 6 in Islamabad.

In his address, he condemned terrorism and its manifestations, emphasizing their threat to global peace and stability. Japarov also confirmed Kyrgyzstan's readiness for active international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and other global security threats.

It is worth noting that on February 6, an explosion occurred in the Tarlai Kalan area, near a Shia mosque, during Friday prayers. According to foreign media reports, at least 31 people were killed in the incident, and many others were injured. Investigative authorities are considering the version of a terrorist attack involving a suicide bomber: the alleged perpetrator was stopped at the entrance to the mosque, after which he activated the explosive device. At the time of the explosion, hundreds of worshippers were inside the mosque, and some of the injured are in critical condition. Pakistani authorities are considering the possibility of an increase in the death toll. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the area has been cordoned off for investigation.
