Tokaev and Trump Plan New Meeting

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Donald Trump continue to maintain active and trusting relations. According to Julie Staaf, the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan, a new meeting between them is expected in the coming months.

During a recent conversation with Tokayev, the ambassador highlighted important aspects of further strengthening bilateral ties between Kazakhstan and the United States.

Julie Staaf expressed confidence in President Trump's support and emphasized her genuine interest in deepening cooperation that aligns with the interests of both sides. She also confirmed that Tokayev recently visited Washington and plans a new visit to the U.S. soon.

The ambassador added that she is honored to represent the U.S. in Kazakhstan and reminded that the United States was the first country to recognize Kazakhstan's independence. She noted that the level of partnership between the two countries has reached a historic high.

“In addition to my official duties, my family and I look forward to getting to know this wonderful country and its people better, as well as immersing ourselves in the culture and everyday life of Kazakhstan,” Staaf shared.

According to her, Kazakhstan and the U.S. actively cooperate in the fields of culture, economy, and trade, and the American side intends to continue expanding this cooperation in all directions.
