Today, the Asian Championship in Wrestling begins in Bishkek, where the best wrestlers from across the continent will gather. This information was announced by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan.
On the first day of the competition, wrestlers in Greco-Roman style will take to the mat to compete for medals in several weight categories: up to 55 kg, 63 kg, 77 kg, 87 kg, and 130 kg.
Kyrgyzstan will be represented in these weight categories by the following athletes:
up to 55 kg — Ulan Muratbek uulu;
up to 63 kg — Avtandil Talaybekov;
up to 77 kg — Akjol Mahmudov;
up to 87 kg — Asan Janishov;
up to 130 kg — Roman Kim.
The first round of wrestling will begin at 11:30.
