On March 26 in Bishkek, the opening ceremony of the international Grand Prix in traditional wrestling (alysh) took place at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace. This information was provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
These competitions are dedicated to the memory of Bayaman Erkinbaev, the founder of the World Federation of Alysh and a public figure.
Present at the opening ceremony were Ulukbek Omurbekov, head of the Directorate for National Sports, as well as representatives of foreign delegations and relatives of Erkinbaev.
About 150 wrestlers from various countries are participating in the tournament, including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, India, and the Netherlands.
