The mayor of the city of Osh proposed to name a street in honor of Bayaman Erkinbaev
The mayor of the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, proposed to name one of the streets in Osh in honor of Bayaman Erkinbaev, a former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh.

This initiative was announced during a city raid. Toktorbaev noted that the issue of naming will be submitted for consideration in the established manner, and there may also be a monument erected in honor of Erkinbaev.
Bayaman Erkinbaev, who was elected to parliament three times in 1995, 2000, and 2005, also actively participated in the public life of the country. He was the founder of the international wrestling federation "Alysh" and headed the charitable foundation "Palvan.

Additionally, Erkinbaev played an important role in the events of March 2005, which led to a change of power and the resignation of President Askar Akayev. His supporters, including graduates of his sports schools, actively participated in the protests that took place both in Bishkek and in the south of the republic.

On September 21, 2005, Bayaman Erkinbaev was killed in Bishkek, and this event became a significant incident in the country. Among the theories regarding his murder were criminal conflicts, as well as issues related to influence over business and political processes.
