Umar Orusbaev won silver at the Youth World Cup

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Umar Orusbaev won a silver medal at the Youth World Boxing Cup held in Montenegro. The tournament, titled "Pearl of the Adriatic," featured boxers under the age of 19 and concluded on March 11 in Budva.

Orusbaev competed in the weight category up to 60 kg, where 16 boxers participated. He managed to achieve three consecutive victories, defeating opponents from Estonia, Ukraine, and Sweden, which allowed him to reach the finals.

In the decisive match held on March 11, the Kyrgyzstani faced a representative from Kazakhstan. After three rounds, the judges awarded the victory to the Kazakh boxer by a split decision, thus Orusbaev took second place.

In addition to Orusbaev's success, bronze medals in their weight categories were also won by Mukhamadali Kanybekov (up to 50 kg), Kutmanbai Muratov (up to 70 kg), and Iskandar Rasulzhanov (up to 80 kg).
