Kutmanbiy Muratov won bronze at the Youth World Cup in Montenegro

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Kutmanbiy Muratov took third place at the Youth World Boxing Cup held in Montenegro.

The tournament titled "Pearl of the Adriatic" started on March 4 in Budva and gathered boxers aged 19 and under.

Muratov competed in the weight category up to 70 kg, where 14 participants competed.

He began his journey in the 1/8 finals, where he achieved two victories — first against an athlete from Ukraine, and then against a boxer from Kazakhstan, which allowed him to advance to the semifinals.

In the semifinals, which took place on March 9, unfortunately, Muratov lost to an Azerbaijani boxer.

As a result, he took third place and received a bronze medal.

As for the category up to 60 kg, Umar Orusbaev successfully reached the finals and will compete for the gold medal on March 11.

1/4 finals:
