The competition took place on February 28, where Nurtayeva competed in the category up to 72 kg, which included 7 athletes divided into two groups.
In the group stage, Nurzat achieved three victories over opponents from Bulgaria and India, allowing her to secure first place and advance to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, she won against Polish wrestler Wiktoria Choluż, but in the final match, she lost to Kazakhstani athlete Zhamila Bakbergenova.
Thus, Nurtayeva won the silver medal, finishing in second place.
