
According to information provided by Ulanbek Satiev, the General Director of the National Television and Radio Corporation of Kyrgyzstan, the channel "Sport" has acquired a license for the direct broadcast of the Olympic Games for the first time. Thus, viewers in Kyrgyzstan will be able to watch the competitions in real-time both on the channel and through cable networks and mobile applications.
He added that this innovation significantly expands the opportunities for Kyrgyz citizens to follow major international sporting events.
The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will be broadcast live on "NTRK Sport" on the night of February 6 to 7 at 01:00.
Approximately 2,900 athletes from over 90 countries will participate in the XXV Winter Olympic Games, which will be held from February 6 to 22, 2026, in Italy. The main events will take place in the cities of Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and other locations in the northern part of the country.
Kyrgyzstan will be represented at this winter Olympics by two athletes who will compete in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing events.
