The General Director of the National Television and Radio Corporation of Kyrgyzstan, Ulanbek Satiev, announced that the channel "Sport" has received a license for the first time to broadcast the Olympic Games live. This will allow viewers in Kyrgyzstan to follow the events live both on the channel and through cable networks and mobile applications.
According to Satiev, this event significantly expands opportunities for viewers in the country, allowing them to stay informed about major international sporting events.
The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will be broadcast on the night of February 6 to 7 at 01:00 on "NTRK Sport".
The XXV Winter Olympic Games, which will take place in Italy, are scheduled from February 6 to 22, 2026. Events are planned in Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and other northern cities of the country. About 2,900 athletes from more than 90 countries are expected to participate.
Kyrgyzstan will be represented at the Olympics by two athletes competing in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.
