A freestyle wrestling tournament dedicated to the memory of Myrsabek Kurmanaliev took place in the city of Kara-Balta.
About 400 young wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan participated in the tournament.
The athletes from the Jayil District demonstrated excellent results, becoming prize winners in the following categories:
In the weight category up to 65 kg, Sultanali Shavketov took 2nd place, representing the village of Novonikolaevka, with his coach being Ruslan Atakeev,
In the 80 kg weight category, Almaz Bularbekov became a bronze medalist (3rd place), hailing from the village of Sosnovka, with his coach being Bakyt Abdyrazakov,
In the category up to 92 kg, Ermek Avazbekov also took 3rd place, representing the city of Kara-Balta, with his coach being Ruslan Atakeev.
All winners and prize holders were awarded diplomas and commemorative medals from the Children's and Youth Sports School of the Jayil District. Additionally, the champions of each weight category received championship belts.

Myrsabek Salkarovich Kurmanaliev was born in 1957 in the village of Murake, Moscow District. After graduating from the Institute of Physical Culture, he worked for a long time at the Children's and Youth Sports School of the Jayil District. Currently, two of his sons are also engaged in coaching activities.
